Verified Audio Detection

If It's Not Verified, It's Simply Guessing

Sonitrol’s verified audio intrusion detection system is one of the most powerful tools you can add to your security arsenal – and it’s unique in the marketplace.

Unlike conventional security systems, SONITROL's verified alarm systems are sound-based, not motion-based. So, when an alarm is triggered, our monitoring professionals can actually listen in to determine whether a break-in is in progress, or whether a false alarm has occurred. If it is a break-in, we immediately dispatch police and relay real-time information to the responding officers. If it is a false alarm, we simply reset the system without bothering you or the police.

Because of this ability to verify alarms, SONITROL has the highest apprehension rate and the lowest false alarm rate in the industry.

For retail businesses we can add hold-up alert capabilities that automatically activate a live audio feed in the event of a robbery during business hours.

How Verified Audio Works

Here's how SONITROL's unique verified detection system functions:

  • The system immediately alerts the SONITROL Monitoring Center The system transmits the sounds of the break-in attempt and a code describing the location of the activated audio sensor.
  • Professional operators listen to live audio from your facility Trained operators are on duty 24/7 to determine and verify the nature of the sounds while reviewing pertinent customer data on a computer screen. They’re assigned to your account, so they know which sounds are “normal” and which are not.
  • Operators take appropriate action As necessary, our skilled operators will call the proper authorities immediately or reset your system without disturbing you or safety officials.
  • Verified dispatch and apprehension Police respond quickly to a verified crime in progress. Our skilled operators stay on the line to relay pertinent information.

Our unique ability to verify each audio activation helps minimize dispatches to false alarms and has earned SONITROL the trust of police officials throughout North America. Average response time to a SONITROL alarm is seven minutes, compared to upwards of 45 minutes for a non-verified alarm.
