In a few days, we will be saying goodbye to the Old National Bank building, the home of Sonitrol’s original Central Station. In 1969, Dr. William “Doc” Standring opened Sonitrol of Evansville and housed his alarm monitoring station, the “Central Station”, on the 9th floor of the Old National Bank building. Central Station is the hub of our operation, where our operators work around the clock to monitor and dispatch on verified burglar and fire alarms. Today, our Central Station is located a few blocks away in Sonitrol’s long-time location on Third Street. In fact, we can see the Old National Bank Building from our Sonitrol parking lot. We certainly can’t watch the implosion of our original Central Station home without getting a little sentimental, so please join us in saying farewell to the place our story began.
