Theft prevented with Sonitrol!
Another satisfied customer reached out to us this week after our Central Station team responded to an alarm, preventing a theft. Sonitrol operator, Liz, received a video alarm just after midnight. When she saw the individuals in the lot attempting to steal old A/C units, she alerted the customer and dispatched EPD. This was a recently installed camera system sold by Sherri to protect the customer’s outdoor inventory. In the attached picture on the bottom left, one of the individuals can be seen sneaking around. While there was no apprehension made, the customer was pleased with the quick response, which prevented a theft. Great job, Liz and EPD! Sonitrol of Evansville ranks in top 100 nationwide!
The SDM 100 Report, from Security Dealer Magazine, ranks top alarm companies nationwide and has been published each year since 1991. Sonitrol of Evansville is proud to have ranked in the top 100 every year since 2009, this year at 78 in the industry. The SDM 100 Report looks at U.S. companies that earn their revenue from the sale, installation, service, and monitoring of electronic security systems, such as intrusion, fire alarm, access control, and video surveillance, including residential to commercial. We are thrilled that our family-owned and locally operated company stands out in this nationwide report.

Great work, Owensboro Police Department!
Recently, Sonitrol operator, Liz, dispatched on an alarm at a business we secure, and Owensboro Police Department apprehended two suspects who had broken into the building. To offer our appreciation, Jessica visited Owensboro Police Department last night to deliver gifts and cookies from The Granola Jar. Pictured from left to right: Jessica, Officer Austin Esther, Officer Ben Campbell, Officer Matt Forker, and Officer Tristan Patterson. Great work, Officers!
Two suspects apprehended!
Two intruders were apprehended! In the middle of the night, our Central Station operator, Liz, detected an intrusion and dispatched on a door alarm to a local business we secure. Owensboro Police Department responded and apprehended two suspects who had broken into the building. Great job, Liz! Great job, OPD! Sonitrol alarms and law enforcement make the best team to secure your commercial property. Contact us to secure your property at (800)444-1191.
All-star operators!
You might remember these all-star Central Station operators from recent Sonitrol news. Chaz Fields dispatched on an alarm we monitor that resulted in an apprehension after suspects tried to rob a pharmacy. All merchandise was recovered! Maye Kincaide dispatched after receiving a video alarm of trespassers on a school roof. Not only are these operators on top of their monitoring game, but they were also both recognized this week for PERFECT attendance for the 4th quarter in Central Station. Way to go, Chaz and Maye! Our team is dependable and ALWAYS ON THE JOB.
Rooftop trespassers!
Friday night, our Central Station operator, Maye, received a video alarm on the roof of a school we monitor. She saw two juveniles on the roof and dispatched police. In this case, the kids took off before police arrived, and no damage was done to the building. In other cases, would-be criminals are known to access rooftop areas with the sole purpose of stealing copper from outdoor A/C units. Many of our customers rely on this type of video system to protect their rooftop units from criminals.
As the price of copper continues to rise, criminals target rooftops and outdoor areas of commercial properties because they assume no one can see them in the dark. Sonitrol’s Video technology is dependable. Once we receive a notification, we can view the video clip or view high-definition live stream video, depending on the video system in place, allowing us to provide details to responding law enforcement. Call us at (800) 444-1191 to choose the Video system for your commercial property.
