Our commitment to protecting the community began in 1969, when local dentist, Dr. William Standring, “Doc”, opened Sonitrol of Evansville. Doc’s cousin, the inventor Bob Baxter, had teamed up with a police officer in Anderson, Indiana just five years earlier and launched Sonitrol, the first of its kind verified alarm company that used audio technology to catch intruders.
