Police Chief, Phil Smith, and Special Projects Coordinator, Officer Taylor Merriss, stopped by this morning to say thank you for Sonitrol’s continued support of local law enforcement and let us know we’ve been nominated for the Community Award to be presented at the annual Policeman’s Ball in September. We are so excited for the nomination. Thank you, Evansville Police Department, and a special shout-out to Police Chief Smith and Officer Merriss!

Great job, Officer Winn!
Last night Jessica stopped by Evansville Police Department to thank Officer Korey Winn for his work in apprehending two suspects on one of our alarms. When Sonitrol’s Central Station operator, DJ, received the alarm at a local high school we protect, EPD responded and found two suspects on site who had been in the building. Jessica took cookies from Lic’s and a certificate of appreciation from Sonitrol. THANK YOU, Evansville Police Department and Officer Winn! We appreciate you!
Two apprehensions!
Two apprehensions! Last night, Sonitrol’s Central Station operator, DJ, received a motion alarm at a local high school we protect. DJ verified a break-in and dispatched law enforcement. Evansville Police Department found two suspects on site who had been in the building. Great job, DJ and EPD! Sonitrol plus police make your school, office, or business secure!
Fire monitoring prevents loss of life and property!
Over the weekend, Sonitrol’s Central Station operator, DJ, received a fire alarm at an apartment complex we protect and monitor. DJ dispatched the fire department, who responded at once. Evansville Fire Department found a garbage bag smoldering due to a lit cigarette in the hallway of the building. They put it out before it grew and ventilated the apartment building. This could have been a MAJOR disaster-from loss of life or injury to property damage- had the fire system not been monitored by our 24-hour Central Station. Not only do we install commercial fire systems for housing, warehouses, medical offices, commercial businesses, and more, we monitor them, providing emergency response around the clock. Great job, DJ! Excellent work, Evansville Fire Department!
