In the early hours of yesterday morning, our Central Station operator, Liz, received a motion alarm at a school Sonitrol protects in Bowling Green. Via the audio sensors, Liz heard rustling and sounds of someone moving around. She dispatched police right away.
Local police apprehended a person who was trying to steal copper. The suspect had broken-in by pulling off some siding to enter the building. While a traditional alarm company might depend on motion detectors alone, Sonitrol’s audio alarms allow our team to hear noises and disturbances when people attempt break-ins through unconventional methods, such as pulling off the siding of the building, as in this case.
If the suspect had managed to avoid the motion detector, Liz still would have known something was wrong because of the audio sensors. Great job, Liz! Way to go, Bowling Green Police Department!
